what is a home or building inspection?

An inspection is a thorough visual examination of the exterior, interior, structural components, and major systems; including: electrical, plumbing, heating, and cooling. Major deficiencies, safety concerns, repairs, and improvements are addressed.

Because our inspectors are New York State certified pesticide technicians, we can verify a property is free of termites—a necessary requirement for some mortgages. If an insect problem exists, we can determine the type and severity of infestation and suggest corrective measures, advising on the least toxic methods.

In addition, we can inspect for environmental concerns, such as mold, asbestos, radon, and excessive electromagnetic radiation.

If you are buying, selling, or renovationg a space, you should be made aware of any potential hazards or hidden damage. Having a professional inspecton will place you in a better position to make a buying decision or, if renovating, allow you to prioritize and pinpoint specific problems before beginning construction.
